Notice of Intention:
To
Staff: Mission Executive Position, Lutheran
Church–Canada, East District
Pursuant to the
East District Handbook (7.06B), the Board of Directors of
Lutheran Church–Canada, East District is soliciting names of
candidates for the above position.
The duties
of this office will entail
the initiation, development, and implementation of programs as
may be prescribed by the Department of Outreach of the East
District.
The candidate
must be an ordained
pastor; a member of Lutheran Church–Canada or Lutheran
Church–Missouri Synod. The preferred candidate is one who is or
has been involved with full-time church work and has parish
experience and knowledge of church policy. Computer knowledge is
a definite asset. He should be free to travel and be prepared to
work irregular hours.

the H1N1 virus, the World Health Organization has declared a level
six pandemic. This designation is due to the presence of certain
objective criteria with regard to the spread of the virus.
Congregations should keep informed about local risks and take
whatever steps believed necessary to ensure the health of all
members. To help answer some of the key questions, resources are
