in a Moralistic Therapeutic Deistic Culture

When it comes to the most crucial
questions of faith and beliefs, many adolescents respond with a shrug
and “whatever.” The faith held and described by most adolescents comes
down to something researchers have identified as “Moralistic Therapeutic
Deism.”
Speaker: Pastor Christian Tiews will give a presentation on how
to proclaim Christ in a culture in which “Moralistic Therapeutic Deism”
is the predominant “religion”.
Who: This seminar is especially intended for clergy and church
workers; however, interested lay people are also invited to attend.

Seminar: Does Christ have a
place in a Whatever Society?

The service of Matins will be
held before the seminar, at 8:00 am; the service of Vespers will be held
following the seminar.
Speaker: Pastor Christian Tiews will
present a seminar examining the spiritual questions posed in today’s
universities, the pressures Christian students face, and how Jesus
Christ is always the answer.
Having spent most of his life in post-Christian Germany, Rev. Christian
Tiews used to be an evolutionist and an agnostic. He first heard the
Gospel message in 1996. Pastor Tiews has a deep compassion for people
who are still searching for the meaning of life and who have not yet
heard the saving message of Jesus Christ.
Who should attend: especially targeted towards university
students.
Cost: A
registration fee of $10 will help to offset the cost of lunch and
refreshments.

States citizens, have been U.S. citizens, or who have family members who
currently are or who have been United States citizens to comply with the
U.S. Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Initiative
now being pursued by the U.S. Government.
Speaker: Mrs. Christine Stranz, a Senior Tax Manager from BDO Canada and
a United States Tax Group Practice Leader, will be present at this meeting to
provide the steps and to give advice as to how best to comply with this Offshore
Voluntary Disclosure Initiative that is now being required of all present and
former U.S. Citizens.
All pastors and church workers who are currently or who have been US citizens
are strongly encouraged to attend!!
